관계사가 뭐예요?

관계사는 두 개의 문장을 하나로 붙여주는 연결 고리예요. 우리말에서도 "내가 어제 본 영화는 재미있었어"라는 문장에서 "내가 어제 본"이 "영화"를 설명해 주잖아요? 영어에서도 같은 방식으로 설명할 수 있도록 도와주는 게 관계사예요.

예를 들어 볼게요.

• I have a friend. She is very kind.
  👉 I have a friend who is very kind.

이처럼 She라는 주어가 friend를 설명해주고 있기 때문에, who라는 관계대명사로 두 문장을 합친 거예요.

관계대명사란?

**관계대명사(Relative Pronoun)**는 앞에 있는 사람이나 사물을 더 자세히 설명할 때 사용해요. 주로 who, which, that, whose, whom 같은 단어들이 사용돼요. 문장에서 '명사'를 대신해서 연결해주기 때문에 대명사라는 이름이 붙었어요.

관계대명사 중급 예문

관계부사란?

**관계부사(Relative Adverb)**는 앞에 있는 장소, 시간, 이유 같은 내용을 더 설명해주는 단어예요. 문장 전체를 부드럽게 연결해주는 역할을 해요. 주로 when, where, why, how 같은 단어들이 관계부사로 쓰여요.
